One day long before I had read John Harricharan's Power pause I was thinking to myself how I needed a pen so that I could write some things down. I think it was such an insignificant thing that I did not raise any doubts about whether it would be possible and just forgot about the pen.

Later that day I was on a long train journey and had already made my way to Vienna where I was to board a train for Budapest in Hungary. The important thing is to be a concious thinker rather than to let any old ideas come along and get in the way. Realise that all your ideas and beliefs and what have you are only part of your past, your memories and as such are not true in the present. In this way you can soon get used to not making up obstacles and limiting the possibilities for yourself. Then you can do the powerpause and it will work because you arn't coming along 5 minutes later and saying to yourself "hey that will never happen" etc. etc.

The powerpause technique is very simple and involves 3 steps and and takes just 3 minutes.

I could tell you how to do the powerpause here but really you will get so much more out of it by reading the book by John Harricharan. He has written a whole amazing story in which this simple technique is taught and this goes a long way to helping you understand the full importance of each step and actually putting the knowledge to use.

There are many books I have read that contain coroborating information. For example a book called the message of a master suggests spending some time each evening thinking about certain important words like health, peace or love for example. This practice will tend to have an effect on your whole life. Other books talk about the importance of "pure thoughts" and a "conciouse awareness". These sources and my personal experience all demonstrate that there is something to this but what is so good about the powerpause technique is that it is as simple as it gets and you will be able to put it to work for you straight away.
